A distinguished private residence based in San Francisco, with additional properties in the Bay Area, seeks an experienced and highly polished Hospitality Lead to join a high-performing household team serving an established executive and family.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering white-glove service while ensuring that each property is maintained to the highest standards of excellence, discretion, and professionalism.
The Hospitality Lead collaborates closely with the Director of Hospitality, Estate Managers, and house staff to ensure that every dinner, event, and guest visit reflects the family's service preferences, values, and aesthetics. This is a full-time, Bay Areabased position with occasional travel between properties as needed.
The Role
The Hospitality Lead will oversee all aspects of residential hospitality, from artistic table design and refined service to event execution and property readiness. This individual must be equally comfortable leading an impeccably executed seated dinner, managing additional service staff for larger gatherings, or pivoting to errands, walkthroughs, and last-minute requests.
This is a highly visible role requiring discretion, emotional intelligence, and the ability to "read the room." The right candidate anticipates needs instinctively, acts without waiting for direction, and approaches every task, large or small, with professionalism and humility.
The Hospitality Lead reports directly to the Director of Hospitality and works in close partnership with estate and property managers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead formal and informal table service with exceptional attention to detail
Design artistic, ever-evolving table settings (no two events styled the same)
Select and coordinate china, glassware, linens, florals, and wine pairings
Create table mock-ups based on a described "vibe" and present for approval
Execute final touches for dinners and events, ensuring seamless guest experiences
Collaborate with the Director of Hospitality to develop detailed event documents and coordinate communication with core and event staff
Conduct property walkthroughs and ensure guest readiness across all spaces
Collaborate with chefs and sommelier team regarding menu execution, service flow, and wine feedback
Stock and manage beverage programs and guest amenities
Greet and communicate with guests as appropriate
Maintain and reinforce service etiquette and hospitality standards across properties
Manage and delegate additional servers during larger events
Assist property managers with "attention to detail" shopping and tasks as needed
Run errands and assist with property checks when events are not scheduled
Provide thoughtful feedback to leadership to continuously enhance the family's experience
Attend required work-related training programs (CPR, AED, First Aid, etc.)
Maintain the highest standards of presentation, discretion, and five-star service
Ideal Candidate Profile
5+ years of fine dining, luxury hotel, or private service experience
Extensive experience in small, high-end events and refined residential hospitality
Background in Michelin-level restaurants, five-star hotels, or event captain roles preferred
Demonstrated leadership in managing service teams
Exceptional attention to detail and refined aesthetic sensibility
Naturally proactive and solution-oriented does not wait for instruction
Comfortable with last-minute changes and fast pivots
Warm, polished, and adaptable interpersonal style
Able to build rapport with the principal and tailor service to guest preferences
Team-oriented and willing to assist across departments and properties
Strong understanding of private household etiquette and confidentiality
Superb command of English, written and verbal
Excellent organizational and computer skills
Familiarity with Bay Area markets, specialty vendors, and restaurants preferred
Highest level of discretion and integrity
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Valid passport and flexibility to travel as needed
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Schedule
Typically Monday
Friday, weekends and holidays as required by event schedule
Must be available for last-minute events and schedule changes
Occasional travel between Bay Area properties

Our client is ready to offer a salary of $140K-$150K commensurate with experience
