Role and Responsibilities:

  • Discover customers' needs and offer solutions through Lowe's services or products.

  • Develop expertise in product offerings to serve as a trusted resource for clients.

  • Meet and exceed sales objectives by generating and driving new business opportunities.

  • Maintain strong relationships within assigned territory through active engagement in the store and region.

  • Provide SMART customer service in alignment with Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Listen to and respond promptly to customer and employee questions, walking them through projects when needed.

  • Communicate stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information.

  • Build client relationships by asking qualifying questions to fully assess needs.

  • Overcome objections by understanding client motivations and project goals.

  • Capture accurate measurements, confirm product selections, review next steps, and secure follow-up commitments.

  • Follow up with clients who have not made a buying decision, especially during promotions.

  • Confirm appointments with clients 24 hours in advance.

  • Prepare for appointments by coordinating calls, products, and activities.

  • Work with contractors and/or installers to quote, sell, and produce accurate jobs.

  • Keep appointment calendar updated for scheduling purposes.

  • Provide detailed updates to the Services Territory Sales Manager during one-on-one meetings.

  • Deliver project documentation to the store for accurate and timely processing.

  • Maintain project folders, ensuring all paperwork is completed per policy.

  • Maintain collateral, samples, forms, and paperwork in clean and prepared condition.

  • Follow all safety requirements when visiting customers or while in-store.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1-2 years of residential construction experience (e.g., home building or renovations) or face-to-face sales experience.

  • Valid in-state driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass MVR screening per company requirements.

  • If required by local or state law, obtain salesperson license or pass the requisite licensing exam within 60 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience using Lowe's or similar selling CRM systems (e.g., M2O).

  • 1-2 years of in-home or commission-based sales experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive salary with total compensation opportunities for top performers of $150,000 and above (base annual salary of $40,000 plus commission).

Pay range:
