Our client is a leading aviation company seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join their prestigious team in Miami, Florida . This critical role involves performing complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on a variety of aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety and airworthiness. The successful candidate will be an expert in aviation systems and regulations, with a strong commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft airframes, engines, and associated systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing specialized diagnostic equipment and technical documentation. Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings to perform maintenance and modifications. Perform modifications, upgrades, and retrofits on aircraft systems as required. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and labor hours. Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and technical expertise. Collaborate with flight crews and operations personnel to ensure aircraft availability and operational readiness. Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and safety protocols. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in aviation technology and maintenance practices. Perform line maintenance, AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support, and hangar maintenance as needed. Manage tooling and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance. Adhere to strict safety procedures and protocols at all times.
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is mandatory. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in aircraft maintenance, with a significant portion in a senior or lead capacity. Extensive experience with specific aircraft types relevant to the company's fleet (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, regional jets). Deep understanding of aircraft systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, avionics, and powerplants. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and specialized maintenance software. Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 43, 65, 91, 121, 135) and industry best practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and respond to AOG situations. Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including working in confined spaces and at heights. This role is based at our facility in Miami, Florida , and requires the candidate to be on-site.
