Roadway Construction Engineer Inspector

We are currently looking for a Roadway Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure projects across Miami-Dade County. If you’re detail-oriented, confident in the field, and ready to contribute to high-impact work, we’d love to connect.

Job duties will primarily consist of:

• Monitoring on-site construction activities

• Inspecting materials in accordance with construction documents

• Maintaining accurate records of daily activities

• Preparing inspection reports

• Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)

• Associate’s Degree in closely related discipline (Preferred)

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience

• Field inspection experience

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, spreadsheets, and tools

• Ability to communicate efficiently in the field with client, work colleagues, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and with precise adherence to specifications

License/Certification:

• Valid state driver’s license (Required)

• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I

• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I

• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I

• FDOT Intermediate MOT Certification

• Nuclear Radiation Safety Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
