Dims is currently accepting resumes from LOCAL Civil Construction Inspectors to provide Construction Inspection services on various projects in Arizona.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job responsibilities listed are typical examples of the work performed by this position. Not all duties assigned to this position are included.

• Provide Construction Inspection services for a wide variety of projects in the Phoenix area.

• Provide Construction inspection services for a Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and sanitary sewer infrastructure and rehabilitation programs for the City of Phoenix.

• Experience inspecting small-diameter sanitary sewer rehabilitation, manhole rehabilitation/replacement, manhole coatings on Developer projects, and cured-in-place-pipe liner installation on Developer projects.

• Inspect various Civil/Building/Mechanical/Electrical/and General Construction existing or new projects for code compliance, facility conditions, and deficiencies.

• Inspect structures using engineering skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with specifications, electrical building codes, and other regulations.

• Support Cost Estimators as needed for repairs, replacement, or new builds.

• Write site condition status reports in a format as directed by clients.

• Perform regular, documented, facility inspections and assist with facility inspections performed by internal staff.

• Photograph, report, log, and in other ways document results of your inspections.

• Ensure essential data is recorded and inspections are properly documented.

• Communicate effectively with management and staff alike.

• Meet and deal effectively with others.

• Attend, weekly progress meetings with contractor, including review of progress to planed schedule.

• Document compliance and non-compliance with established quality control and quality assurance procedures.

• Prepare written reports documenting electrical, QA/QC inspections, non-compliance notices, and corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma and 7 plus years of experience in Construction Inspections on various types of projects. A combination of education and experience; professional certificates, associate degrees, or bachelor’s degrees if related to facilities maintenance is acceptable.

• Minimum of 5 years of inspection experience on various infrastructure and public works projects, widely defined as roads, buildings, infrastructure, and civil and MEP scope.

• Thorough understanding of construction safety, quality control, and general contract management requirements

• Wide, general, flexible experience in various settings is useful and desired.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)

• International Airport Facility: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
