Senior Construction Inspector

4K Engineers Ltd. is a PEO licenced Consulting Engineering firm and we are offering Project Management, Contract Administration, Site Inspection, and Material Testing Services to our clients. We are currently seeking Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI / EIT or P.Eng.) to work with our Project Team on large scale Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Infrastructure projects such as highways and bridges.

Position:

Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI or EIT / P.Eng.)

Requirements:

• Candidate should be designated by OACETT as the Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) or certified by PEO as EIT or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).

Experience requirements:

• Demonstrated Senior Inspector Structure / Grade / Asphalt experience on three or more MTO / Municipal projects.

• Sound knowledge of design standards, OPS Specifications, standard drawings, materials and methods associated with highway/freeway/ATM construction.

• Proven analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental regulations.

• Maintaining detailed diaries and photographs to document daily construction activities.

• Conduct inspection as per applicable inspection requirements, MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual (CAITM) or new CAIS.

• Coordination of onsite sub-consultants and quality assurance material testing.

• Reporting of installed quantities to verify applications for monthly payment and change order work.

• Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and other documentation as required by the construction contract.

• Effective organizational and mature interpersonal skills.

• Ability to utilize computer software such as MS Word and Excel

• Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license

Experience:

• Senior Inspector: 2 years minimum (required)

Pay: $29.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
