The QC Inspector is responsible for field-level verification of construction quality and workmanship. This role ensures that all structural, architectural, and civil works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and building codes. The position focuses on proactive identification of quality issues. This role does not involve material laboratory testing; it is strictly inspection and compliance-based.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor ongoing work (e.g., rebar installation, formwork, masonry, finishes, or earthworks) for compliance with approved plans.
Detect, document, and report deviations, defects, or poor workmanship.
Verify that each phase of work is 100% complete before allowing the team to proceed to the next stage.
Monitor rework progress and ensure corrective actions meet project standards.
Serve as the technical point of contact for interpreting construction drawings and ensuring the site team follows the design intent.
Maintain a daily log of quality observations and inspection checklists to create a comprehensive quality record of the project.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology (Licensed Engineer preferred but not required).
At least 1 year of site experience in any major construction field.
Ability to reject work that does not meet standards despite schedule pressures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues in a complex construction environment.
Excellent written communication skills for clear reporting of technical findings.
Ability to manage and coordinate inspections across multiple projects.
