Our Artificial Intelligence team is made up of academically accomplished experts—and there’s room for more analytical and innovative data talents to join us.

We are seeking a Senior AI Developer to join Avanade’s AI Engineering Team. You’ll lead the design and delivery of agentic AI solutions for our clients, split roughly 50/50 between presales and delivery. You’ll join a community of smart, supportive collaborators where you’ll shape solutions end to end, mentor junior engineers, and grow as a recognized technical leader. Together we do what matters.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced AI engineers with min 8 years in AI/ML and at least 1 year of hands-on agentic AI experience . The role is split roughly 50% presales and 50% delivery , with ad hoc travel to customer locations within the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end agentic AI solutions for client engagements, making key technology and design decisions across the full stack

• Lead delivery workstreams across projects, guiding hands-on implementation and mentoring junior developers

• Drive presales activities including creating proposals, responding to RFPs, estimating effort and pricing, and scoping and sizing solutions

• Build POCs and present technical demos to clients, translating business problems into compelling agentic AI solutions

• Run client workshops and discovery sessions independently, providing thought leadership on agentic AI patterns, trade-offs, and emerging trends

• Own solution quality end to end, applying RAG patterns, agent evaluation, and responsible AI practices to ensure accurate, reliable, and safe agent behavior in production

Qualification

Skills and experiences

• Min 8 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 1 year delivering agentic AI solutions

• Deep working experience with at least one agentic framework such as Lang

Graph, Lang

Chain, Microsoft Agent Framework, ADK, or Auto

Gen, and a solid grasp of agent design patterns including planning, tool use, memory, and multi-agent orchestration

• Strong proficiency in Python for production-grade agent development, debugging, and performance tuning

• Hands-on experience delivering AI workloads on at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Proven experience applying RAG patterns and agent evaluation techniques in real project or product settings

• Strong English communication skills with the ability to lead client workshops, present to executives, and facilitate technical discovery

• Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery of AI solutions end to end, including making architecture decisions and mentoring junior engineers

• Experience contributing to presales activities such as proposals, effort estimation, pricing, and solution scoping in a consulting or professional services context

Nice to Have

• Relevant cloud or AI certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Machine Learning, or equivalent)

• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft AI ecosystem such as Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio, or Power Platform

• Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how it extends agent capabilities in enterprise settings

• Experience with AI workflow automation tools such as n8n or OpenAI Agent Builder

• Fluency with Git and modern AI coding assistants as part of day-to-day engineering practice
