AI Native Bank Business Analyst (ex-consultant)

Our client is building a greenfield, AI-native digital bank in the UAE, backed by a large regional conglomerate, and is seeking ex-consultants with Business Analysis experience to support the design and launch of its MVP. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a bank being built from scratch, with a strong focus on digital-first customer experiences across retail and corporate banking. This is an initial 6 8 month contract, with an immediate start required to support an MVP launch targeted for 31st March 2027 with the banking license coming in September this year. The role operates within a scaled Agile delivery environment, where multiple cross-functional pods are driving parallel product builds. Each pod typically consists of 6 8 team members, working closely with Product Owners, engineers, and designers. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging business requirements with technical execution across one or more pods. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in business analysis, problem solving, and stakeholder management, with prior consulting experience and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, build-from-zero environment. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements. Translation to Delivery: Convert business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for development teams. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business, product, and technology teams to ensure alignment on requirements and outcomes. Agile Support: Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups. Process Mapping: Analyse and map current and future state processes to support efficient product design and delivery. Testing & Validation: Support UAT, validate outputs against requirements, and ensure high-quality delivery of features.

Maintain clear and structured documentation for requirements, workflows, and decisions. Your Background:

2 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, management consulting or technology consulting with expertise in analysis Digital Delivery: Experience working on digital product or transformation initiatives Agile Environment: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ways of working Domain Knowledge (Preferred): Exposure to financial services, retail banking, or corporate banking is beneficial but not mandatory. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable requirements.
