Salary: 20 LPA to 40 LPA

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

We are looking for a data scientist to work on problems like predicting customer drop-off (churn), risk scoring, and customer behavior analysis in insurance/financial services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build models to predict which customers are likely to stop paying, churn, or become risky

• Work on customer behavior analysis over time (cohorts, retention, payment patterns)

• Create meaningful features from raw data (transactions, customer activity, timelines)

• Evaluate models and ensure they are useful for business decisions, not just good offline metrics

• Work closely with product/business teams to translate model outputs into actions (targeting, interventions, etc.)

• Monitor model performance and iterate based on real-world feedback

Required skills:

• 3–6 years of experience in data science / applied ML

• Strong understanding of supervised learning + feature engineering

• Experience working with real-world messy data (time series / transactional data is a plus)

• Good grasp of model evaluation (not just accuracy) and practical trade-offs

• Ability to think in terms of business problems, not just models BFSI / insurance experience is a plus, but not mandatory

Nice to have

• Experience with risk models / churn prediction / customer analytics

• Familiarity with concepts like cohort analysis, class imbalance, model monitoring

• Comfort working with SQL + Python (pandas, sklearn, etc.)
