Founding C++ Engineer - Low Latency Trading | Singapore | $250,000 USD Base

A research-driven, technology-first proprietary trading firm in Singapore is hiring its founding C++ engineer - a rare opportunity to shape infrastructure from the ground up rather than inherit someone else's architecture.

You will work directly alongside traders and researchers, building the ultra-low latency systems and market data services that power systematic trading at scale. This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who takes pride in platform quality as much as raw speed.

What the role demands

• Expert-level C/C++ with 4+ years in latency-sensitive, production trading environments
• Deep command of Linux kernel internals, OS-level tuning, and hardware optimisation
• Strong grasp of network protocols and high-performance I/O

What you'll be doing

• Designing and building ultra-low latency C/C++ services for trading and market data
• Profiling, benchmarking, and pushing systems to meet strict latency targets
• Bridging the gap between research and production — bringing quant models to life
• Mentoring engineers and contributing to hiring as the team scales

Compensation is $250,000 USD base with a competitive overall package.

Please note : this role is based full-time in Singapore. The firm is not offering relocation support, so we are exclusively considering candidates already based in Singapore.
