Data Analyst Intern

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

Job Description

This role is based in our Amsterdam, Netherlands OfficeExtract, analyze and provide outcomes to stakeholders to drive decision making with data. Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or BI platforms (Power BI). Work closely on maintaining data quality, integrity, and usability across the portfolio.

Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Help maintain data documentation, metadata, and process workflows for our key projects. Work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs. Participate in projects involving data modeling and KPI tracking. Support automation of routine reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields.
• Foundational knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, SQL) and at least one programming language (Python/R).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
• Basic understanding of statistics, data structures, and analytical methods.
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn and work

This internship opportunity is available for 5 to 6 months, starting on Sep 1st, 2026.

As this is a learning internship, candidates must be actively enrolled in a university program throughout the duration of the internship, with a major relevant to the field.
