About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join a growing Data Analytics team within a leading global financial services organisation.
This role offers the chance to work at the heart of data quality, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the integrity and management of critical security reference data. You'll combine day-to-day data analysis and quality assurance activities with project-based work focused on improving processes, automation, and data-driven decision making.
This position would suit someone with 1–2 years' experience in data analytics, data management, or financial services, as well as recent graduates with strong analytical skills and relevant internships or project experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis to support the quality, accuracy, and integrity of business-critical reference data.
- Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Monitor data quality and identify anomalies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to resolve data-related challenges.
- Support data management and governance initiatives across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs to support business decision-making.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and data quality.
- Support the adoption of automation, anomaly detection, and AI-driven solutions to enhance data management capabilities.
- Participate in a variety of analytical, operational, and project-based initiatives.
- Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.1–2 years' experience in a Data Analyst, Data Management, or similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex data issues.
- Experience working with data management, data quality, or reference data.
- Working knowledge of:SQLPython or RPower BI or similar visualisation tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Desirable
- Experience within financial services or a highly data-driven environment.
- Exposure to market data or reference data platforms.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar data vendor products.
- Experience with automation, anomaly detection, machine learning, or AI-driven analytics solutions.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
