Data Engineer (Python + SQL + Sparql + Graph Data)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL/data pipelines
• Write complex SQL queries (joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions)
• Perform data transformation, validation, and data quality checks
• Work with large-scale distributed datasets
• Build and manage data ingestion pipelines (APIs, SFTP, Kafka)
• Design and implement graph data models (nodes, edges, relationships)
• Work with RDF data structures and semantic data
• Write and optimize SPARQL queries for graph data retrieval
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs / ontology-based systems
• Automate workflows using Python scripting
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance

Key Skills Required

• Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy, scripting)
• Advanced SQL (joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, optimization)
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines
• Experience with large-scale distributed data processing
• Understanding of graph data concepts (nodes, edges, relationships)
• Knowledge of RDF and SPARQL
• Experience with data ingestion tools (APIs, Kafka, SFTP)
• Familiarity with data transformation, cleaning, and performance tuningNice to Have
• Experience with Graph databases (Neo4j, Blazegraph)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Workflow orchestration tools (Airflow)
• Understanding of data lakes / data warehousing concepts
