Job Description
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-functional BI initiatives across Japan, US, and Europe, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
Architect and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Azure Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake), Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and ADLS Gen2.
Design and govern Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards, enforcing DAX/M standards, RLS, deployment pipelines, and UX guidelines.
Develop Python-based automation, data quality frameworks, and transformation scripts while enforcing Git, code review, and testing best practices.
Partner directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical roadmaps, drive user adoption, and align analytics to measurable business outcomes.
Define BI development standards, testing/validation strategies, and support models to ensure platform performance, security, and compliance.
Qualifications
8+ years in BI/Analytics Engineering (2+ yrs in a technical lead/senior role)
Strong hands-on experience: Azure Databricks, Power BI (DAX, Data Modeling, Deployment Pipelines), Python, SQLBusiness-level Japanese (JLPT N3+) and English (TOEIC700+), proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and technical audiences
Solid understanding of data architecture (dimensional modeling, medallion/data vault) & cloud governance
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or related field
Proven ability to thrive in ambiguity, prioritize ruthlessly, and communicate clearly across technical & business audiences
Nice to Have
Microsoft Fabric, dbt, or Azure certifications (DP-600, DP-203, AZ-900)
Semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech industry analytics experience
