To our new Stockholm office we’re looking for two engineers to join our Unicore team. You enjoy building systems that are not only functional, but also efficient, scalable, and thoughtfully designed. This is a chance to work with technology with a purpose – to create a safer world.

The job

At MSAB, the Unicore team is responsible for the core of our digital forensics platform, including UNIFY and the XRY file format (Core API). We’re now working on the next generation of UNIFY, and this is an opportunity to help shape it from the inside.

In this role, you will work with core system development where performance and reliability are critical.

You’ll be dealing with distributed systems and data-intensive workloads, contributing to architectural decisions with long-term impact, and exploring how to best leverage hardware such as CPU and GPU.Our current tech stack includes C99, C++20, and C# (.NET 8/10), along with gRPC, SQLite and PostgreSQL, running across both Windows and Linux environments.

• You likely enjoy systems engineering, think in terms of trade-offs, and prefer solving meaningful problems over fitting into rigid roles.
• An appreciation for simplicity and keeping dependencies lean will serve you well.
• Your Experience
• You will benefit from your experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, containerization with Docker, or cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure which is considered a plus.
• You will be part of a focused team working close to the core of the product, where your decisions matter and your code has real impact.
