Project Manager/Leader - Senior-Technical - Job Description
The Project Manager/Leader - Senior-Technical will oversee high-profile projects within the branch, ensuring they meet business requirements in terms of time, scope, and budget. The role involves leading organizational development and strategy, managing relationships with senior staff and external partners, and developing detailed project schedules and budgets.
Project Manager/Leader - Senior-Technical - Responsibilities
- Provide project management for various high-profile projects within the branch
- Ensure project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope, and budget
- Interact with senior staff within the ministry and manage external partner relationships
- Lead organizational development, strategy development, business planning, and funding requests
- Gather and develop requirements to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan
- Identify team members, clarify roles, and set task/deliverable expectations
- Resolve resourcing and interpersonal conflicts, ensure knowledge sharing among team members
- Develop complex project budgets and manage them effectively
- Use ministry project management tools for recording and reporting project/program data
- Create/update Integrated Project Management Plan (IPP) and manage project progress
Project Manager/Leader - Senior-Technical - Mandatory Skills
- Over 10+ years of project management experience with IT solutions and services
- 10+ years of experience with designing and integrating web-based applications and/or cloud-based micro-services
- 7+ years of experience with Agile project management and development practices
- Experience with project management software such as MS Project, Planview, Jira, or Microsoft DevOps Azure
- Experience with cloud technology implementations such as MS Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and people management skills
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Project Manager/Leader - Senior-Technical – Nice-to-Have Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation
- Scrum Master certification
- Experience with Digital Health Standards, including HL7 FHIR
- Knowledge of Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA)
- Experience with Public Sector/e-Health Ontario related projects
Project Manager/Leader - Senior-Technical – Assignment Length
The contract is set to run until October 5, 2027, with potential extensions based on the Master Service Agreement.
