Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team for heavy civil and transportation infrastructure projects in Southern California, USA (on-site position).

- Estimated duration of the position: +24 months
- In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall execution of transportation and heavy civil infrastructure projects, ensuring successful project delivery through effective management of budgets, schedules, subcontractors, resources, and client relationships. The role requires strong leadership skills and experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage project execution from start to completion.
- Oversee project budgets, cost control, and financial performance.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and project resources.
- Coordinate field operations and office teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Lead client, stakeholder, and project coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project specifications.
- Monitor schedules, project risks, and overall project performance.
- Support business objectives and operational goals.
- Review and approve project documentation, change orders, and project reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday – 9 working hours (including a 1-hour lunch break)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within heavy civil or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing highways, roadway improvements, bridge structures, interchanges, or similar infrastructure works.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience managing client relationships and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to oversee multiple project activities simultaneously.
- English level: C1 minimum.
