Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive market entry and expansion of our robotics business in the Netherlands.
This role is highly focused on new business generation, identifying untapped opportunities, and building a strong pipeline from scratch across industrial and logistics automation sectors.
The successful candidate will act as a hunter profile, opening doors with new clients, developing strategic relationships, and converting opportunities into long-term business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a market entry and business development strategy for the Netherlands
- Proactively identify, approach, and acquire new customers and business opportunities
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting to deal closure
- Identify and develop key accounts and high-potential projects from early-stage engagement
- Focus on sectors such as e-commerce, logistics, warehousing, ports, and industrial automation
- Establish and expand relationships with system integrators (SIs), distributors, and strategic partners
- Drive adoption of AMR, AGV, and warehouse automation solutions in the local market
- Lead customer engagement including cold outreach, meetings, solution positioning, and negotiations
- Collaborate with global teams (R&D, product, supply chain, service) to tailor solutions to market needs
- Gather market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor analysis to refine go-to-market strategy
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Electrical) or Business-related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development or B2B sales, ideally in robotics, automation, or industrial equipment
- Strong hunter mentality with proven success in acquiring new clients and opening new markets
- Experience in solution selling and long sales cycles
- Background in logistics automation, AMR/AGV, or industrial robotics is highly preferred
- Strong network within the Dutch industrial, logistics, or automation ecosystem is a plus
- Fluent in English;
- Dutch is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Self-starter with high autonomy and entrepreneurial mindset
