Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer

Digital Commerce Engineering | Contract / Project-Based

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / B2C Commerce) developer to

support an active digital commerce engagement for a retail client. The role focuses on delivering

merchandising, search, and customer-experience enhancements on the SFCC platform, integrated with

third-party search/discovery and CRM/email systems. This is a hands-on delivery role within a time-bound

program, requiring a developer who can contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and configure product listing (PLP) and product detail (PDP) page enhancements, including

filters, sort and boost rules, and category-level merchandising logic.

• Build curated landing pages, content slots, and seasonal/promotional overlays using SFCC content

assets and Page Designer.

• Implement product discovery and search refinements, coordinating with third-party search platforms

(e.g., synonyms, ranking rules, promoted results).

• Develop account-page modules and integrate triggered customer journeys with CRM/email platforms.
• Implement catalog and SKU visibility logic (e.g., default-sort exclusions while preserving searchability

and filtering).

• Participate in code reviews, QA cycles, and release management to meet defined production and

stabilization milestones.

• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across engineering, merchandising, marketing, and IT teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on SFCC (Demandware) development: SFRA, ISML, JavaScript controllers, OCAPI/SCAPI, and

Business Manager configuration.

• Demonstrated experience customizing PLP/PDP pages, search refinements, sorting/boost rules, and

content slots / Page Designer.

• Integration experience with third-party search/discovery and CRM/email platforms.
• Familiarity with SFCC deployment workflows (sandbox / staging / production) and release/code-freeze

discipline.

• Strong version control (Git), code review, and QA collaboration practices.
• Ability to work to fixed delivery deadlines within a multi-initiative program.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer certification.
• Experience in B2C retail, apparel, or footwear ecommerce.
• Experience with headless/composable search providers and modern CRM automation tooling.

Experience Level

4–6+ years of overall software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years hands-on SFCC /

Demandware development. Given the program's pace and integration complexity, a mid-to-senior

developer who can be productive from day one is preferred over a junior resource. For candidates also

expected to own technical coordination across teams, a senior/lead profile (6+ years) is recommended
