External Supply Operations Packaging Manager

At Hays Executive, we are looking for an External Supply Operations Packaging Manager for a leading international pharmaceutical company, with the purpose of driving packaging strategy across the external network to deliver cost optimisation, efficiency improvements, and sustainable value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement packaging strategy (innovation, standardisation and optimisation) across external suppliers.
• Drive cost savings and OPEX optimisation through cost transparency, should-costing and efficiency improvements.
• Enhance supplier performance (capacity, productivity, waste reduction).
• Lead sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Partner with Procurement, Operations and Technical teams to support decision-making and negotiations.

Requirements

• Degree in Packaging, Engineering or similar.15+ years of experience in packaging within pharma, cosmetics or CMO environments.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, specifications and testing.
• Proven track record in cost optimisation and supplier management.
• Experience in cross-functional and international environments.
• Fluent English.
