As a Senior Manager, you will lead complex engagements, manage senior client relationships, and drive measurable impact across safety, operational performance, and sustainability.
You will play a key role in expanding our presence in China while supporting project delivery at client sites in Indonesia.

- What will you do?
- You will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of one of dss+’s strategic accounts in the region.
- Working closely with senior leaders, client account leads, and delivery teams, you will help strengthen client relationships, identify opportunities to create additional value, and support the expansion of dss+ services across complex industrial operations.
- This role requires strong consulting and stakeholder management capability, fluency in Mandarin and English, and the ability to operate effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
- The position will involve extensive travel to client sites in Indonesia, including rotations that may require extended periods on site.
- More specifically, you will:
- Support the development and expansion of a strategic key account by building strong working relationships with client stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Act as an effective bridge between Mandarin-speaking client stakeholders, Indonesia-based delivery teams, and dss+ internal leadership to ensure clear communication, alignment, and trust.
- Understand client priorities, operational challenges, and business needs, and help translate these into practical consulting opportunities and value-adding solutions.
- Work with senior account leaders to identify, develop, and shape opportunities for account growth, including follow-on work, adjacent services, and broader improvement initiatives.
- Support the delivery of consulting engagements in complex industrial environments, ensuring that work is delivered professionally, safely, and in line with client expectations.
- Manage day-to-day stakeholder engagement during project delivery, proactively addressing issues, maintaining momentum, and ensuring that dss+ continues to be seen as a trusted partner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across dss+ to bring the right expertise to the client and develop integrated solutions that respond to evolving client needs.
- Think strategically and creatively about how dss+ can continue to add value to the client, including by identifying practical solutions in operational excellence, safety, risk management, sustainability, and organizational effectiveness.
- Contribute to account planning, client relationship mapping, proposal development, and internal discussions on account strategy and growth priorities.
- Demonstrate strong professional conduct, work ethic, and cultural sensitivity when representing dss+ with senior client stakeholders and site-based teams.
- Be available to travel extensively, up to approximately 80% of the time, including rotations and extended assignments in Indonesia that may last several weeks at a time.
- Work effectively as part of a team, while also being able to operate independently in client-facing situations and take ownership of assigned account and delivery responsibilities.

- You are an experienced consulting professional with strong client-facing capability, commercial awareness, and the maturity to support the growth of a strategic account in a complex, cross-cultural environment.
- You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders, site-based teams, and internal delivery teams, and can help translate client needs into practical opportunities for dss+ to deliver value.
- More specifically, you bring:10+ years of professional experience, preferably with a mix of management consulting, operations, industry, or client-facing advisory experience.
- Strong fluency in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior client stakeholders, site teams, and dss+ colleagues across different markets.
- Experience working with Chinese companies, Chinese-speaking stakeholders, or cross-border industrial clients, ideally in Southeast Asia or other international operating environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, navigate ambiguity, and maintain productive relationships across multiple levels of the client organization.
- Commercial acumen and account development capability, including the ability to identify client needs, shape opportunities, support proposal development, and contribute to account growth.
- Experience in complex industrial environments, preferably in one or more of the following sectors: mining and metals, industrial parks, manufacturing, chemicals, energy, infrastructure, or heavy industry.
- Good understanding of operational improvement, safety, risk management, sustainability, organizational effectiveness, or related areas relevant to dss+ services.
- Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving capability, with the ability to connect client challenges to practical, value-adding solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate across different functions, geographies, and cultures.
- High level of professionalism, personal resilience, and adaptability, especially when working in remote site environments or under demanding project conditions.
