Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role it will be day-to-day accounting transactions including payroll, accounts payable, quick books and excel financial reporting and control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries and documentation of business transactions, including but not limited to, cash, inventory, accounts receivable, fixed assets and accounts payable transactions.
- Analyze and prepare operating and capital expenditure reports and budgets
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness, including significant intercompany accounts.
- Prepare and/or review expenses, payroll and other accounting documents for payment.
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels.
- Ensure expenditure controls are in place.
- Develop electronic invoicing, accounting policies and scanned document retention.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Input of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- Basic Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Basic Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Basic Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
- Knowledge of payroll tax accounting.
- Ability to analyze financial data, reports and projections.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong skill level with Quick Book, Excel pivot tables and Word.
- Strong overall computer skills
- Ability to work alone or in group on a broad variety of projects.
- Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships.
Experience
- Accounting or equivalent work experience, proficient in Quick Books and Excel
- Five to 10 years of accounting experience
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
