CA Qualified Construction Project Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a CA Qualified Construction Project Accountant with a minimum of 2+ years of UAE experience in the contracting/construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and statutory compliance while supporting the overall financial performance of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project accounting and financial operations for ongoing construction projects.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Review project revenue recognition, work-in-progress (WIP), and cost allocations.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for management.
- Support tendering and project teams with costing and financial analysis.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and project accounts.
- Monitor budget performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee payroll accounting and employee-related financial transactions.
- Ensure proper internal controls and financial governance.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Minimum 2+ years of UAE experience in a contracting/construction company.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting and construction finance.
- Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ERP and accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred Candidate
- Strong commercial and financial management capabilities.
- Available to join within a reasonable notice period.
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
