Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a General Ledger Accountant to work on a contractual basis. This role requires a professional with at least five years of experience in general ledger accounting or staff accounting, responsible for month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and intercompany transactions.
The position involves supporting a portfolio of projects and ensuring accurate financial records for a San Francisco-based company.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for intercompany accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate standards.
- Reconcile and resolve balance issues and account settlements to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare intercompany billing, including reviewing and posting corporate allocations as required.
- Perform invoicing to meet deliverables and deadlines, supporting operational and financial processes.
- Analyze monthly results and resolve significant variances to provide accurate financial insights.
- Assist with year-end audit schedules, preparing documentation and supporting materials for auditors.
- Support other duties and projects as assigned, contributing to broader financial initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field required.
- Strong technical accounting foundation, demonstrating proficiency in debits and credits.
- Experience with a medium to large ERP system preferred for managing financial data.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and strong time management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
