Council’s Finance team sits within the Corporate Performance Directorate and provides expert leadership and guidance to the organisation in all aspects of Council’s finances and end to end financial processes across the organisation including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, rates, valuations, revenue recovery, and financial analytics.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance team for a dynamic Financial Accountant who is primarily responsible for ensuring Council’s finances are accurate, compliant, transparent, and well‑managed, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term community outcomes.
Permanent, full-time position70 hour fortnightAccess to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) Located at Council's Merrylands office, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locationsSalary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
Grade 12 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,899.71 to $2,184.67 per week, plus 12% superannuationThe commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
