About The Position
The International Accountant – UK & Foreign Entities will support day-to-day and period-end accounting for Performance Trust’s non-U.S. entities, with a primary focus on Performance Trust UK Limited (PTUK) and PT Capital Partners Limited (Hong Kong). Working closely with senior Finance team members, this role will contribute to local ledger management, intercompany activity, foreign exchange (FX) accounting, and audit support, while building familiarity with local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and U.S. GAAP requirements.
This is a developmental role well-suited to an accountant with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to grow their international accounting skills in a fast-paced, capital-markets environment.
Specifically, This Individual Will Be Responsible For The Following
UK & Foreign Entity Accounting
- Maintain the general ledger for PTUK and other foreign entities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for UK and other foreign entities, supporting alignment between local ledgers and consolidated U.S. reporting.
- Learn and apply entity-specific accounting standards (e.g., UK GAAP/FRS 102, HKFRS) and gain exposure to U.S. GAAP consolidation requirements such as lease accounting and foreign currency translation
Period-End Close & Year-End Adjustments
- Support the foreign-entity month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of adjustment entries, intercompany settlements, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain organized workpapers and adjustment trackers that clearly tie to the general ledger.
- Coordinate with Finance leadership to meet close calendar deadlines and sign-off requirements for foreign entities.
Regulatory, Audit & Tax Support
- Assist the Finance team in responding to UK and Hong Kong audit requests, including gathering trade samples, bank confirmations, and supporting documents for external auditors.
- Help compile data for UK regulatory and prudential reporting, including inputs to the Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment (ICARA), in partnership with Compliance and FP&A.
- Provide supporting schedules and reconciliations to assist with local tax filings (e.g., UK corporation tax, Hong Kong profits tax) as directed by senior team members and external advisors.
UK Trading Model & Operational Support
- Support allocations of clearing, custody, and other trading-related fees between U.S. and UK entities.
- Assist with reconciliations between front-office trading systems, middle-office records, and clearing/broker data for UK activity.
- Learn the structure of intercompany and services agreements, and help maintain allocation methodology documentation.
Intercompany, FX & Cash Management
- Assist in managing intercompany balances among U.S., UK, and Hong Kong entities, including monthly reconciliations and settlements.
- Support FX and multi-currency accounting (e.g., USD/GBP/EUR/HKD), including remeasurement entries and analysis of realized and unrealized gains and losses with direction from senior staff.
- Help coordinate with banking partners on foreign-entity cash management and audit confirmations.
Controls, Process Improvement & Systems
- Support internal controls around approvals, postings, reconciliations, and documentation for foreign entities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key PTUK and foreign-entity processes.
- Use the company’s ERP/general ledger system and spreadsheet tools to assist with reconciliations, reporting, and FX/fee allocations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Finance colleagues, Trade Operations, Compliance, and external advisors to support foreign-entity accounting activities.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with teammates and stakeholders on open items, timelines, and questions.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; exposure to multi-entity or international accounting a plus.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; interest in or initial exposure to UK GAAP/FRS 102 or IFRS.
- Demonstrated experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Comfortable working with large data sets, reconciling between systems, and maintaining detailed workpapers.
Preferred
- CPA candidate or actively pursuing CPA licensure strongly preferred.
- Experience in financial services, broker-dealer, asset management, or capital markets environments.
- Any prior exposure to international entities, cross-border transactions, or foreign currency accounting.
- Familiarity with ERP/general ledger systems and financial reporting tools.
- Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
