We are a global team of 70+ people based across 3 regions and 9 countries. We embrace a flexible working culture that enables our teams to split their time between their homes and our offices in Massachusetts and Amsterdam.
The Role
This Senior Accountant position, joining Coravin’s global Finance & Accounting team, will be a key business partner across the organization. This position will report to our Senior Director of Finance & Accounting and is a 1-year contract term.
As a key member of the Global Finance Team, you will be working to ensure all tasks are completed on time, in line with Coravin’s processes and procedures, and to a high level of accuracy. The successful candidate will need to feel comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally at all levels within the business.
As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting areas, providing robust & accurate financial reporting, and supporting the accounting and finance teams. You will have a positive, can-do attitude, be driven to continually find ways to improve processes, and represent the accounting and finance team with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP): Review and oversight of AR and AP functions, includingthorough reviews of invoice processing, collections, payment application, and vendor management.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Financial Close Cycle: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by overseeing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Review GL transactions for accuracy and completeness, and ensure compliance with US GAAP for all 4 of our reportingregions.
- Support adherence to a 7 business day close cycle.VAT & GST Returns: Ensure timely and accurate completion of VAT & GST returns and submissions to the proper authorities.
- Payroll Administration: Manage employee statutory benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringebenefits, in compliance with local regulations and company policies, and process payroll in Rippling for all of our global entities located in The United States, The Netherlands, France, Australia, and the UK. Compliance and Risk Management: Stay abreast of relevant accounting regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in the Europe and APAC regions.
- Implement internalcontrols to mitigatefinancial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist with the year-end audits in all global regions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance controls.
- Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to optimize accounting and financial operations.
- Ad hoc Reporting: Assist with reporting needs, including regular reporting around AP and AR, and special projects and reports as business needs arise.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, `or Finance, or other related field5+ years of accounting experience
- Working understanding US GAAPIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g. sumifs, pivot tables, x/vlookups, etc.)
- Experience of accounting software and ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365Attention to detail with an orientation towards repeatable and efficient processes
- Ability to work 1-2 days per week from our office in Amsterdam
- Flexibility while working across time zones

- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Slack, Asana, Notion, and SharePoint for internal communication and document management
