Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant, Media, €70,000-€80,000 doe, hybrid. Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join an international Media business based in Amsterdam. This role will suit a Qualified Accountant with practical professional experience working in a Finance Manager/Accountant role (or similar finance position) within a large multinational organization.

Role:

Overseeing general ledgers and all aspects of the close & reporting process (Balance sheet reviews, Accounts Recs, Analytical Reviews, Corporate Reporting)Responsible for the internal control environment, ensuring compliance with group policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and the integrity of financial and operational information.

Participate in special finance projects focusing on continuous improvement and finance transformation.

Assist in the external and internal audits ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements in corporate income tax, withholding tax, and VAT and supporting the transfer pricing process.

Partner closely with Finance Operations teams (P2P, RTR, OTC) to ensure all outsourced finance activities are being performed.

Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA/RA/CPA) - Audit backgroundAbility to cope in a fast, dynamic environment and manage competing prioritiesStrong drive, curiosity, and adaptivity are required as this role is exposed to a broad range of finance topics and various stakeholders.

Strong technical accounting experience, including comprehensive understanding of Accounting Standards (US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS).
