We have partnered with a leading multinational organization, who are searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Paris, France.

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be the right-hand to the European Financial Controller, taking ownership of the day-to-day financial operations across a complex, multi-country environment. This execution-focused role will see you responsible for the heavy lifting of the company's financial processes, including:

Coordinating month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes across multiple European entities, ensuring timely delivery for Controller review.

Monitoring and ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and tax regulations across jurisdictions, escalating issues proactively.

Preparing accurate, well-structured financial reports for Group Finance, ready for the Controller's review and submission.

Managing the relationship with the Shared Service Center, overseeing operational transaction processing and ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with closing deadlines.

Driving the operational execution of the forecasting process across Europe, consolidating inputs and preparing materials for the Controller's financial planning discussions.

Providing first-level revenue and margin analysis to support the Controller's business performance reviews.

Serving as the primary operational interface with Sales and Operations teams, resolving day-to-day queries and escalating topics requiring senior involvement.

Deputizing for the Controller, anticipating needs, preparing briefing materials, and ensuring continuity of operations.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong accounting background, with a CPA or equivalent qualification highly preferred.5+ years of experience in financial controlling, audit, or accounting, ideally within a multinational environment.
Proven ability to operate within a matrix organization, supporting senior stakeholders.
Experience in fast-growing or scaling environments.A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to independently navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Deep understanding of IFRS and local GAAP across multiple European countries.
Strong execution capability in forecasting and financial planning processes.
Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to produce clear, Controller-ready outputs.
Outstanding communication skills and comfort liaising with cross-functional stakeholders.
Fluency in English, with Italian or Spanish as an additional language a plus.
