Van Driver

Job Purpose

Provide deliveries to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check order and dockets prior to departure.
• Ensure deliveries are delivered on time.
• Ensure all PODs are signed and returned to the office on time.
• Complete daily vehicle and load checks and report any incidents on the day.
• Ensure loads are secured pre-departure.
• Adherence to compliance with Health and Safety and Road Safety.
• Multi drops and Branch to Branch runs.
• Driving long and/or short distances.
• Planning delivery schedules and routes with the Branch Manager.
• Handling freight in a safe, efficient manner.
• Helping load and unload goods.
• Build excellent customer relationships.

Requirements

• Full Clean Driving License.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time keeping.
• Be highly motivated and can work to set deadlines.
• Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Good road knowledge of surrounding areas.
