Cactos
Cactos is a driving force in the energy transition. Do you want to help build a future where energy is used smartly and sustainably? We are now looking for a Project Manager who is ready to lead meaningful, real-world project deliveries end-to-end and help shape our grid- scale energy storage business.
Cactos in a nutshellCactos is a Finnish next-generation energy company transforming how industrial customers manage and consume electricity. We deliver smart battery energy storage systems, proprietary software, and electricity directly to customers – as one integrated solution.
Our systems stabilize the grid, smooth out peaks, and protect customers from price spikes and bottlenecks while unlocking the full potential of renewables. We manage every part of the process ourselves, from hardware to software, trading to financing.
We design and manufacture our products, including our own battery modules, at our factory in Kempele, and develop our own battery management system (BMS) and energy management system (EMS) in-house with our experienced software team. Founded in 2021, Cactos now employs over 100 people across Helsinki, Kempele and Amsterdam, with sales teams also active in Sweden, Norway, Estonia and Denmark.
In 2025, Cactos was named Finland’s top growth company by PwC and the Finnish Venture Capital Association.

As a Project Manager you will have end-to-end responsibility for Cactos’ grid-scale battery energy storage projects – from contract handover through engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, all the way to commercial operation.
This is a role where project management, communication and team leadership come together. You will coordinate schedules, budgets and risks, keep stakeholders aligned through clear and proactive communication, and lead the project team to ensure every delivery meets technical, quality and safety requirements.
You will build and guide cross-functional project teams, working closely with project engineers, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams across engineering, commercial and operations, as well as our customers.
The role is based in Helsinki or Kempele. We offer a genuinely flexible hybrid setup that combines office, remote and site work – we focus on outcomes, not hours at a desk, and we actively support a healthy work-life balance.
You have a solid track record of delivering complex, large- scale projects through the entire EPC lifecycle. Experience specifically within the energy industry (renewables, grid infrastructure, or energy storage) is highly preferred. Financial & contractual acumen: You have successfully managed multi-million euro contracts (ideally in the range of 5–10 MEUR+) and know how to navigate complex client requirements.
Growth-company mindset: You are comfortable with limited organisational depth. You don’t need a large corporate structure to support you – you are self-driven, resourceful, and willing to roll up your sleeves when needed. Communication: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to hold your ground professionally with demanding stakeholders.
A key leadership role in building Finland’s and Europe’s next-generation grid-scale energy storage infrastructure. Meaningful, high-impact work in the energy transition – projects you can point to and say you delivered. A collaborative, diverse team where engineers and project managers work closely together toward a shared mission.
A genuinely flexible hybrid working model that supports work-life balance – we trust our people to manage their time and respect boundaries around it. A growing, ambitious company with a strong culture and fast-paced development. Competitive compensation and benefits package. We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and actively welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
We believe diverse teams deliver better outcomes. Be part of a team that has already delivered over 35 MWh of grid-scale capacity, with our largest single installation at 14.2 MWh.
