Kennedy School is seeking a dedicated Educational Assistant to inspire and empower our diverse community of learners. The position will commence in August 2026.
The role supports the students and their learning in class, works with children in small groups and assists the teachers with administrative or preparatory tasks.
Responsibilities
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to create a sense of belonging and a safe space for taking risks in their learning.
- Support students (alongside the classroom teacher) in their learning journey, focusing on both academic growth and emotional resilience.
- Lead small groups of children to help them understand new ideas and stay focused on their tasks.
- Support students with different learning needs by tailoring your approach so they can participate fully alongside their classmates.
- Support the teacher and learners by preparing resources and providing organisational assistance.
- Take a proactive role in supervising students during break times, managing playground dynamics, and ensuring a safe environment outside the classroom by following school routines and procedures.
Requirements
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Sound behaviour management skills.
- Team player.
- Flexible and uses initiative.
- Previous experience of working with children is an advantage.
- Keen to learn and take on constructive feedback
- The successful applicants will be offered a full-time contract on a term-time basis.

About The Team
ESF Kennedy School occupies a pleasant location on the west of Hong Kong Island.
