COLOURS Uniforms
School uniforms are stuck in 1985. We're fixing that.
Colours is doing for school uniforms what FIGS did for scrubs — rebuilding a tired B2B category into a modern, design-led, technology-forward brand that schools actually want to partner with, and that students actually want to wear.
Founded by Leylie Aghili, we're already partnered with schools like Marlborough, Castilleja, Academy of Our Lady of Peace, and Regina Dominican — and we're scaling what's working.
Why we're different: 🎯 Product students love, parents appreciate, and administrators trust — contemporary silhouettes, modernized fits, real fabric quality 💻 Tech at the core — custom-branded web stores for every partner school, modern PLM/CRM stack, dashboarded WIP, automated outbound 🤝 Real partnerships, not vendor contracts — our seven-step process is high-touch, end-to-end ✨ Women-led, mission-driven, and built for how schools actually buy today

You'll join a small sales team that makes a big impact — owning the full school-sales cycle end to end, from first outreach through signed partnership and handoff to onboarding. You'll sell to Heads of School, Principals, Business Managers, and uniform committees.
Cycles run 90 days to 6 months, decisions are consultative, and a program win is typically a multi-year partnership.
You'll work directly with our Founder/CEO and Head of Operations & Technology, alongside our existing AEs. Your input will shape how Colours sells from here.
✔️ Own the full sales cycle — prospect, discover, demo, propose, close ✔️ Work our Apollo outbound pipeline + qualify inbound leads from our school landing pages ✔️ Run discovery calls with principals, business managers, and uniform committees ✔️ Walk schools through sample kits; visit in person when it moves the deal forward ✔️ Build proposals and respond to RFPs across our Girls, Boys, Teen, Youth, and Little divisions ✔️ Negotiate program-level terms — pricing, MOQs, exclusivity, multi-year commitments ✔️ Hand signed schools cleanly to ops and stay involved through first delivery ✔️ Keep CRM hygiene tight and contribute to the sales playbook we're building together
⚠️ This is not an entry-level role.
🔹 4+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with long consultative cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees 🔹 Prior experience selling into K-12 schools is required — independent, charter, parochial, or district.
You understand how school buying decisions actually get made. 🔹 A track record of hitting and beating quota — with professional references who'll confirm it 🔹 Genuinely comfortable running a deal end-to-end — no BDR feeding you leads, no CSM closing for you 🔹 Clear, unhurried written communicator — a lot of this job is thoughtful emails to very busy administrators 🔹 CRM-native (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar); comfortable with Apollo, Calendly, and a modern sales stack 🔹 Tech-forward mindset — you're excited to sell a product with real software infrastructure behind it 🔹 Credible in the room with school leaders — you can sit across from a Head of School and belong
Bonus points: ➕ Background in apparel, uniforms, soft goods, or custom product ➕ Existing relationships in school administration or procurement networks ➕ Experience with long-cycle enterprise or committee-based B2B sales
💰 Competative base (87k - $105k/year) + performance bonuses tied to signed school partnerships. Real upside for a real closer. 🌎 Flexible work — Remote (US), LA-based hybrid, or remote with scheduled school travel. We're optimizing for the right person, not the right zip code. ✈️ Travel — periodic school visits, trade shows, and team time in LA. Roughly 20–30%, more during peak selling season.
📩 Send a short note and resume to hello@wearcolours.com with the subject line "AE — [Your Name]". Tell us about a B2B deal you're proud of and one school you'd love to sell to.
Colours Uniforms is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on talent, fit, and care — in that order.
