As a Complex Sales Manager – Government & GCC Markets, you will be responsible for driving revenue and business development across all GCC states for the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection. The role oversees all key market segments, including Leisure, Corporate, MICE, and Government, with a focus on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening strategic partnerships, and maximizing revenue across the complex.
In addition, the position will be responsible for developing and managing all Local UAE Government business, including FIT, Group, and Event segments, ensuring maximum market penetration, account growth, and revenue generation from government entities and affiliated organizations.
The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic sales plans, maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure the achievement of assigned sales and revenue targets while promoting the unique offerings of the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Management
- Manage and develop business opportunities across all GCC countries for the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection and drive sales efforts across Leisure, Corporate, MICE, and Government segments to maximize room revenue, group business, meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions, and special events.
- Develop business opportunities within an assigned portfolio of accounts, with a focus on identifying, securing, and growing direct Government and GCC business across all market segments, thereby maximizing revenue and market share for the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection.
- Lead the development and management of all Local UAE Government accounts, driving revenue across FIT, Group, and Event business segments.
- Identify, solicit, and secure new business opportunities while growing existing accounts and expanding market share within the GCC and UAE Government sectors.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government ministries, authorities, departments, semi-government entities, embassies, government-affiliated organizations, corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and key industry stakeholders.
- Develop annual account plans and sales strategies for key GCC and Government accounts to achieve business objectives.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Implement and execute all sales objectives and action plans to achieve and exceed budgeted revenue targets.
- Generate qualified sales leads and convert opportunities into confirmed business across all relevant market segments.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, networking activities, and site inspections.
- Organize and participate in sales trips, roadshows, workshops, trade fairs, and industry events throughout the GCC region.
- Prepare and negotiate corporate agreements, government contracts, preferred partner agreements, and rate proposals.
- Manage government tenders, RFP submissions, negotiated contracts, and account agreements in accordance with company policies.
- Continuously seek opportunities to increase revenue, market penetration, and account production.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer requirements within GCC and Government segments.
- Provide regular market intelligence and feedback to support strategic business decisions.
- Analyze account performance and identify opportunities for business growth and market expansion.
- Prepare weekly sales reports, monthly forecasts, production analyses, and business reviews.
- Maintain accurate and updated account information within the CRM and sales management systems.
Internal Collaboration & Operations
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, Groups & Events, and Operations teams to maximize business opportunities and revenue performance.
- Coordinate with operational departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and exceptional guest experiences.
- Ensure all sales activities are aligned with hotel policies, brand standards, and operational procedures.
- Support hotel promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives targeting GCC and Government markets.
- Ensure all contracts, agreements, and correspondence are completed accurately and within established timelines.
Representation & Relationship Building
- Represent the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection professionally at industry events, exhibitions, networking functions, and business forums.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within GCC and UAE Government sectors.
- Promote the hotel's facilities, services, and unique selling propositions to existing and prospective clients.
- Maintain comprehensive account files and contribute to the effective management of the hotel's key account portfolio.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in luxury or upscale hotels.
- Proven track record in managing Government and GCC market segments within the UAE hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of the GCC travel market and UAE Government business landscape.
- Experience in handling FIT, Group, MICE, Corporate, and Government accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and business development skills.
- Strong understanding of hotel sales processes, revenue generation, and account management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and hotel CRM systems.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
