Assistant Manager / Sales Engineer (ACMV or HVAC) Building Services & Maintenance Solutions
Responsibilities
- Lead, guide and motivate the sales team to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the company's maintenance and service business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for business expansion.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, industrial and institutional sectors.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, proposal preparation, negotiation and contract closure.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline activities and key business metrics, providing regular updates to management.
- Prepare and deliver customized proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market developments and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Engage customers to understand operational requirements and recommend suitable service solutions.
- Work closely with technical, operations and support teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in sales forecasting, budgeting and business planning activities.
- Support the development of team capabilities through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Represent the organization at industry networking events, exhibitions and business forums.
- Conduct periodic reviews of team performance and recommend areas for improvement.
- Continuously improve sales processes and customer engagement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in building services, facilities management, maintenance solutions, engineering services, HVAC, ACMV, or related industries will be advantageous.
- Proven track record in business development, account management and solution-based selling.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to build long-term partnerships with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric mindset.
- Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading or mentoring a sales team will be an advantage.
