As a Sales Manager for Waldorf Astoria Helsinki, you will be responsible for driving hotel revenue through proactive and strategic sales activities. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, and generating future and repeat business across all relevant market segments.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Drive revenue growth through proactive sales efforts across consortia, corporate, groups, and Meetings & Events segments
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and market trends
- Acquire new clients, manage key accounts, and lead contract negotiations, including handling RFPsAchieve individual and departmental sales targets and contribute to the hotel’s overall commercial goals
- Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates for sales leadership
- Develop, propose, and implement hotel sales plans aligned with overall business objectives
- Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area and internationally to drive business into the hotel and increase market and customer share across all revenue streams
Responsibilities
- With a strong luxury positioning, this role places particular emphasis on:
- Luxury leisure accounts and luxury consortia partnerships
- High-end travel agencies and selected international accounts
- Local and corporate accounts supporting a balanced revenue mix
- International markets through client visits, trade shows, roadshows, and familiarization trips
- Close collaboration with the Groups, Meetings & Events Department to generate and convert business for groups and social events, with a particular focus on weddings

- Coach, mentor, and guide members of the sales team to strengthen skills, encourage collaboration, and enhance overall performance
- Work closely with hotel operations and all internal departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience
