Introduction
Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst III (Corporate Event Planner) to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.
Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $52 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid
Business Hours: Monday-Friday; 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Responsibilities
- Executing small events utilizing full event life cycle methodology from event conception through to post-event implementation analysis and review
- Overseeing the registration process including working with third party suppliers, building technical specifications, deployment, attendee customer service, reporting to post-event final reporting and closing
- Helping develop program proposals including researching cities, venues, suppliers and experiences
- Assist with program development, proposals, contracts, costing, site inspections and presentations when appropriate
- Supporting venue and vendor sourcing, contracting and negotiations based on specified budgets
- Assisting with execution of activity, dining, speaker and gifting recommendations
- Compiling data on post program surveys and development of post program feedback summaries
- Work with project team members to assist with the administration of various departmental initiatives
- Researching to maximize experience, budget, and technologies used
- Recommend solutions to enhance client programs as opportunities arise and other responsibilities as required
- Oversee pre-event management including packing and shipping of materials and ordering supplies
- Manage post-event processes including paying and reconciling invoices, preparing post-event registration reports, handling feedback surveys, participating in post implementation review documents
- Providing other administrative support as required to assist Event Managers to prepare and plan for events
- Provide onsite support for Wealth business and client events to assist with room set up, registration desk and other onsite support responsibilities
- Effectively troubleshoot, evaluate and address event issues and recommend solutions
- Strong commitment to providing superior service to our Business Partners
- Ability to cultivate and work closely with Wealth business partners (at all management levels), partners (Commercial, Securities, CAPA,) external vendors (ex. AV providers, hotels, gifting vendors etc.) volunteers and community partners
- Work collaboratively on multiple events at the same time, with several different team members
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate well and share responsibilities with co-workers
- Ability to manage volunteers and onsite support staff
Experience & Qualification Requirements
- Post-Secondary certification or equivalent experience Required
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate event planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365- Excel, Word and Outlook
- Advanced Excel- working with spreadsheets and organizing data
- Strong Communication skills- written and verbal
- Organization, multitasking and prioritization skills
- CMP knowledge
- AI technology experience- copilot
