Duration : 3-6 Months Contract to hire. Well qualified candidates can be considered for Direct Hire position.

Background
Current IT infrastructure of our client can hardly keep up with the growth of its business. Most of the internal systems are batch oriented and it is difficult to extend them to fulfill new business requirements. As a consequence our client has started replacing its core infrastructure and in parallel, started new initiatives to propel its business.
We are looking for somebody who can grow with the “life cycle” of the projects of our client.
The bottom line is that we are looking for somebody with solid technical background and with a passion to provide excellent service to the business users of our client.
Primary Responsibilities
- Defining and documenting project requirements for all IT related direct to consumer projects.
- Test whether the development teams delivered the applications according to the specifications.
- Extensive coordination between business groups and the IT delivery teams working on internal IT Projects in areas like Order Management, eCommerce, Point-of Sale etc…
- Gather and document requirements following a structured SDLC process.
- The business analyst will also be involved with the development team during the analysis and design of the system and throughout development.
- Our client follows an incremental development approach and at the end of each iteration the business analyst has to make the decision whether the components fulfill the quality standards and whether they can be deployed into production.
- Therefore an essential part of this function will be to define User Acceptance Test Scenarios and to execute UAT and regression tests.
Skills/Knowledge Required/Desired
- System Study, Analysis, RUP, Coordination with Developers, Testers, Technical Documentation, Test Planning etc...
- The individual would require the skills and knowledge to modify the RUP document standard to various projects of our client.
- Good business acumen, extremely process oriented.
- Good trouble-shooting skills with a successful track record of removing project road blocks and engineering business solutions to both technical and non-technical problems
- Technically proficient – good Microsoft skills, MS Project experience helpful, should understand Structured Query Language (SQL), does not need programming language skill, but needs to be able to write queries in MS SQL Server.
- General good understanding of software development processes, in particular in a SOX and PCI driven environment.
Experience
- Hands on experience in writing and executing User Acceptance Tests
- Some experience with the automation of regression testing (e.g. using WinRunner or RoadRunner)
- Preference given to individuals with Order Management, eCommerce, Point-of Sale, retail experience and or CRM
Other Requirements
- Must have Good communication skills
- Proof of your legal work authorization status & Two professional references from last two assignments / projects / employments will be required if you are short listed.
- You will need to sign non-compete agreement if short listed.
