About the role
A leading financial institution is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team responsible for its xVA application within Financial Markets.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of business and technology, you'll work directly with a team of developers on one side and trading desks and business users on the other, making sure change is delivered accurately, quickly, and with a clear understanding of the underlying xVA domain.
It's a fast-moving environment with real delivery pressure, so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring both technical fluency and strong stakeholder skills.
What you'll do
- Act as the interface between developers, trading desks, and business stakeholders, translating business needs into clear, developer-ready requirements.
- Own the change lifecycle for the xVA application end to end: gathering and refining requirements, supporting testing and UAT, and managing releases and sign-offs.
- Represent the voice of the business to the development team, and explain the "what" so engineers can determine the "how."Lead and participate in refinement and solution-design sessions, structuring and simplifying complex problems across systems and processes.
- Produce impact assessments, release reports, and user sign-offs, keeping delivery on track and well documented.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across trading, sales, operations, and technology.
What you bring
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst (or functional analyst / product owner) within Financial Markets, capital markets, or a comparable banking environment.
- Solid domain knowledge of xVA (CVA/DVA/FVA or related valuation adjustments) and the application landscape around it.
- Demonstrable change-management experience: requirements gathering, testing, and release management.A completed Master's degree.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills in English, comfortable working across different functions and seniority levels.A pragmatic, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-changing, time-pressured environment.
- Nice to have
- Python skills, to contribute directly to analysis.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum.
- Prior experience as a Product Owner.
