Head of Operations

Role Description

This is a senior, group-level role based in Dubai, reporting directly to the CEO. The Head of Operations - Group provides operational leadership, governance and standardisation across Byrne's regional operations in the GCC.You'll drive fleet availability and utilisation, workshop and maintenance performance, logistics effectiveness, CAPEX planning and HSE compliance balancing local operational agility with Group-wide consistency.

Working closely with General Managers, Operations Managers, the Group Asset Manager, Procurement, HSE and Finance, you'll establish and monitor Group-wide operational KPIs, scale operations efficiently and maximise fleet ROI across all territories.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or related), or an equivalent technical foundation gained through experience10+ years in equipment rental, power generation, industrial services, logistics or construction equipment, including several years in a senior multi-site or regional operations leadership role
• Multi-country GCC experience (strongly preferred)
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams (ideally across multiple countries) spanning operations, fleet, workshop/service, yard, transport and logistics
• Demonstrable track record of scaling operations while maintaining control, reliability and service standards
• Strong workshop, fleet, transport and operational cost-control background
• Hands-on experience with ERP / rental systems and asset utilisation reporting
• Strategic mindset with the ability to standardise and scale operations across regions
• Ideal Background:

You're a hands-on yet strategic operations leader with a solid engineering or technical foundation, who understands equipment and fleet inside out. You've progressed through operational roles in equipment rental, power or industrial services, built systems that let a business grow without losing control, and led teams across multiple disciplines and ideally multiple countries.

You combine commercial awareness with operational rigour, lead from the front on safety and standards, and know how to turn performance data into action.
