The Role
We are seeking a structured and process-oriented Banking Relations Partner to manage and scale our institutional banking partnerships. Operating at the intersection of traditional corporate banking and digital asset infrastructure, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of our banking relationships.
This role demands a hands-on approach to operational execution. You will take ownership of foundational integration processes—including comprehensive due diligence and onboarding documentation.
Mastering these critical operational workflows will serve as the foundation for your progression into leading strategic reviews, engaging with senior banking stakeholders, and fast-tracking your career trajectory within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Operations & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end institutional onboarding process. Take ownership of critical Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and compliance documentation, collaborating closely with FI Operations and utilizing internal AI tools to streamline execution.
- Institutional Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients and banking partners, facilitating complex structuring, product advisory (loans, deposits, treasury), and ongoing account maintenance.
- Workflow Optimization: Monitor fiat-to-crypto transaction flows, resolve daily operational bottlenecks, and coordinate with liquidity and trading teams to ensure maximum settlement efficiency.
- Strategic Engagement: Leverage insights gained from operational processes to lead strategic reviews with senior bank executives, identifying opportunities to optimize existing banking structures and expand service integrations.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate digitalization initiatives, new product launches, and operational dashboard builds in partnership with internal Development, Front Line, and Compliance teams.
- Risk & Governance Management: Conduct periodic relationship reviews, structure credit proposals, and ensure strict adherence to internal AML/KYC frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze and report on key operational metrics, risk assessments, and integration progress to management and executive committees.
Qualifications & Ideal Profile
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of operational, partnership, or relationship management experience within financial services, fintech, or an adjacent SaaS sector. Experience managing processes directly with banks or financial institutions is highly preferred.
- TradFi & Web3 Knowledge: A strong understanding of traditional corporate banking services coupled with practical exposure to payment workflows, settlement operations, or digital asset platforms.
- Operational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven capability to manage detailed, process-heavy tasks (such as complex DDQs and regulatory documentation) effectively and accurately.
- Analytical Aptitude: Ability to leverage data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, advanced Excel/VBA) to monitor KPIs, report on operational efficiency, and present actionable findings.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills required to manage partner-facing operations and pivot seamlessly to high-level strategic discussions.
- Languages: Professional fluency in English is strictly required to manage global stakeholders. Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous but not mandatory.
Location & Travel
- Hong Kong Base: This role requires the candidate to be based full-time in our Hong Kong office to ensure operational alignment and direct collaboration with internal teams.
- Business Travel: Occasional travel will be required to conduct strategic reviews and foster relationships with regional banking partners and stakeholders.
