Job Description
We are seeking experienced Business Analysts with strong Retail Banking domain knowledge to support the early phase of a Temenos core banking upgrade program in Zurich for our banking customer.
The primary objective of the role is to analyze business processes, derive test scenarios, and build a reusable test case repository to support subsequent system testing, integration testing, and UAT preparation.
The role requires deep understanding of banking operations, core banking product flows, and the ability to translate business requirements into clear, structured test assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current-state and target-state banking processes across relevant functional areas such as deposits, lending, payments, customer/account servicing, and regulatory or reporting processes.
- Work with business stakeholders, SMEs, and IT teams to gather functional requirements and identify impacted business scenarios.
- Create and maintain a structured test case repository with traceability to business requirements, process flows, and system changes.
- Define positive, negative, boundary, and exception scenarios for Temenos R26 functional coverage.
- Support test planning activities by identifying test scope, test data needs, dependencies, and business-critical scenarios.
- Review functional specifications, process maps, and interface impacts to ensure end-to-end test coverage.
- Support test design for system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT preparation.
- Collaborate with QA teams and implementation partners to validate test scenarios and resolve ambiguities.
- Maintain documentation in a controlled repository with versioning and reusability for future releases.
- Participate in workshops, walkthroughs, defect triage, and business sign-off activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
- Strong domain expertise in areas such as deposits, lending, payments, customer/account servicing, and regulatory or reporting processes
- Proven experience in requirements analysis, business process mapping, and test scenario identification.
- Hands-on experience building test case repositories or supporting SIT/UAT preparation in banking transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of banking product lifecycle and end-to-end transaction flows.
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders, testers, developers, and vendors.
- Excellent documentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and process mapping tools such as Visio or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience on Temenos core banking upgrade or implementation programs.
- Experience with interface testing, data validation, regression testing, and test traceability management.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
- Exposure to Swiss banking operations or multilingual stakeholder environments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of issue tracking and test tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms.
