Business Development Operations Manager

Role Summary

Own and execute payment channel expansion and day-to-day operations across emerging markets. This is a hands-on role focused on internal execution (70–80%) with some external partner coordination (20–30%).

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new payment channels and banking partners
• Manage day-to-day payment and banking operations, including card issuance/opening
• Ensure smooth payment flows, settlements, and reconciliations
• Act as the main point of coordination across internal teams (payments, treasury, compliance, product, ops)
• Handle operational issues and escalations quickly and effectively
• Coordinate with banks, PSPs, and partners on onboarding and ongoing operations
• Support expansion across different regions local payment methods (mobile money, bank transfer, cards)
• Drive process improvements to improve efficiency and scalability

Requirements

• 5–10 years in payments, banking operations, or fintech
• Experience with payment channels / card operations / banking processes
• Strong execution mindset — hands-on, detail-oriented
• Able to manage internal stakeholders and workflows independently
• Good communication skills for external coordination
