About Us
We are a Los Angeles–based holding company operating five consumer brands across the nicotine, cannabis, and LED fashion industries. Our portfolio includes 4 live ecommerce stores, 1 ecommerce in development and two hardware companion applications currently advancing from MVP to full production.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a versatile full-stack mobile developer to take ownership of our two flagship applications and bring them to production-grade release. This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy, reporting directly to a technical founder.
The two applications are the primary focus of this position:
- ZipApp — a companion application for our smart vape device, connecting to hardware over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for device control and verification.• SugarFur — a mobile application that controls LED lighting in wearable garments in real time over BLE.
- Both products have functional MVPs in hand.
- Your mandate is to refine, harden, and ship them to the App Store and Google Play.
- You will also build a new brand and ecommerce website from scratch for Circuit Z, Inc. (our Zip
- App / Zip
- Bar / Zip
- Pod smart vape line) as that product comes to market.
- In addition, you will provide ongoing maintenance for our live ecommerce stores on Woo
- Commerce and Shopify — occasional bug fixes and improvements rather than continuous feature development.
Responsibilities
- Lead both applications from MVP to polished, production-ready releases.
- Develop and stabilize BLE connectivity, including pairing, reconnection, and real-time device control.
- Manage end-to-end deployment to the App Store and Google Play, including build and review processes.
- Implement device-facing features such as controls and verification flows.
- Build a new brand and ecommerce website from scratch for Circuit Z, Inc. (ZipApp / ZipBar / ZipPod) as the product launches.
- Maintain and improve our live WordPress / WooCommerce and Shopify stores as needed (occasional bug fixes and improvements).
- Leverage modern AI development tools to deliver efficiently while maintaining high standards of code quality.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping full-stack or mobile applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript / React and mobile development (native iOS / Android or React Native).
- Ability to independently own a product and carry it through to a production release.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of seeing complex work through to completion.
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Available to work on-site in Los Angeles.
Preferred
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or connected / IoT applications.
- Familiarity with PWA and TWA development.
- WordPress / WooCommerce and Shopify experience.
- Being comfortable work with regulated products.
