We have a current opportunity for a Backend Engineer (Python jr-sr level) on a permanent basis. The position will be based in New York City.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving, collaborative engineering team building products that sit at the intersection of backend systems, data, and advanced AI technologies. The role is highly hands-on and suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, owning systems end-to-end, and contributing to architectural decisions.

Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years of professional experience in backend or software engineering
Strong expertise in Python and backend development (not full-stack focused)
Proven experience building and scaling APIs and distributed systems
Experience working within financial services or FinTech environments (preferred)
Strong knowledge of databases such as MongoDB and Redis
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a high degree of ownership
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
Exposure to machine learning or AI-driven products (LLMs)
Experience with vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Timescale)
Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
