About the Role

We are looking for a talented Backend Software Developer to design, maintain, and scale the foundational systems of our AI-driven logistics platform. In this crucial position, you will be responsible for building reliable and efficient backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines that are vital to our success.

What You'll Do

• Backend Development & System Design
• Build robust and scalable backend services and APIs that drive our logistics solutions.
• Design and uphold system architecture focused on performance, scalability, and security.
• Guarantee high service availability and reliability with proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure platform stability.
• Collaborate effectively with front-end, AI/ML, and product teams for seamless service integration.
• Data Processing & Integration
• Create data ingestion pipelines from various structured, unstructured, real-time, and batch data sources.
• Ensure data consistency and availability through effective database schema design and optimization.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Engage in code reviews and help establish coding standards, best practices, and documentation.
• Stay abreast of backend development trends and suggest relevant improvements to our technology stack.
• Support the onboarding and mentoring of new team members as our team expands.

What We're Looking For

• Strong Technical Background
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages: Python, Node.js, Typescript, or Java.
• Solid understanding of API design and implementation, including REST and GraphQL.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Experience
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience in deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Software Best Practices
• Experience with software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Dedication to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Problem-solving & Communication
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in debugging complex systems.
• Excellent collaboration abilities and a knack for conveying technical concepts clearly across teams.
• Growth Mindset
• A passion for continuous learning and keeping up with the latest developments in backend engineering and cloud infrastructure, along with a commitment to mentoring others.

Bonus Points

• Experience building and integrating with Palantir Foundry.
• Familiarity with the defense or logistics industries, particularly in legacy system modernization.
• Contributions to open-source software or active participation in the developer community.
