We’re working with a fast-growing, VC-backed technology company building an AI-driven platform used by organisations across Europe to improve security and reduce human risk.

The business has strong traction with 100+ customers across multiple markets, and is now scaling both its product and engineering teams as it expands internationally.

The Role

This is a senior backend engineering role focused on building scalable, high-performance systems in a modern cloud environment.

You’ll play a key role in designing and developing backend services that power a data-driven platform, working across everything from APIs to infrastructure and distributed systems.

• What You’ll Be Doing
• Designing and building scalable backend services and APIsWorking with microservices and event-driven architectures
• Developing cloud-native solutions in GCPManaging and optimising Kubernetes-based infrastructure
• Working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Identifying and solving performance and scalability challenges
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Collaborating with product, frontend, and cross-functional teams
• Tech Stack
• Golang (preferred, but strong backend engineers from other languages considered)
• GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• Kubernetes & Docker
• Microservices / APIsPostgreSQL, Firestore, MongoDB (or similar)
• What We’re Looking For
• Strong backend engineering experience
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design
• Experience working in cloud-native environments
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (Docker/K8s)
• Engineering mindset focused on performance, scalability, and reliability
• Nice to Have
• Experience with Golang
• Exposure to DevOps / infrastructure ownership
• Interest in AI-driven products or data-heavy systems
