With a customer data platform (CDP), a customer engagement platform (CEP), and data warehouse in place, we’re now able to bring on a Data Engineer to help manage the data pipelines, combine various data sets from across the organisation; perfect for someone driven by Relentless Curiosity; someone passionate about data, always exploring new technologies, and finding better ways to connect insights and audience experiences across platforms.
As broadcast and digital worlds converge at NOVA, you’ll help shape a growing data ecosystem, managing pipelines, combining datasets, and improving data accessibility and activation in a compliant way to drive personalisation and commercial outcomes.
This role brings Unwavering Unity to life through close collaboration across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Marketing teams to deliver data solutions that support business outcomes and seamless audience experiences. In practice this looks like:
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data architectures and pipelines across NOVA’s platforms
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements across reporting, insights, and visualisation
- Working with marketing and advertising technology partners to enable privacy-compliant data activation
- Embedding data considerations into new product and platform initiatives from the outset
- Identifying opportunities to use data to drive personalisation, targeting, and audience engagement
- Continuously improving data quality, efficiency, and performance across systems
- Work alongside the Digital Engineering and Products & Platforms teams to ensure the right data architecture is in place, and data pipelines integrate and complement our owned & operated platforms
- Keep up to date with the latest data engineering trends and developments

- Staying informed on industry trends and applying learnings to enhance outcomes Skills that help you succeed in this role:
- Experience with data platforms, an associated certification would be advantageous
- Knowledge of and experience with SQL, APIs and other cloud-based data tools
- Strong proficiency in Python with proven, hands-on experience developing and deploying data solutions specifically within a data warehouse environment
- Understanding of data collection, activation, and measurement concepts within the digital space
- Experienced working in agile development and delivery processes
- Level of familiarity with customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, conversion, and the advertising ecosystem, including working with programmatic platforms
- Solid understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
