THE TEAM

The Information Technology team enables the organisation’s digital strategy by delivering secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions. Working in close partnership with the business, the team brings together specialists across infrastructure, applications, data and security, fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

This role sits within the global data platform function and reports to the Director, Data Platform, Global.

YOUR ROLE

As a Data Engineer, you are responsible for designing, building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that enable reliable, secure and efficient access to data across the organisation. You will partner closely with Executive, Product, Data, Analytics and Design stakeholders to support data‑driven decision making and continuous improvement across the business.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Design, build and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture to support business and analytical needs.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet both functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Identify, design and implement process improvements, including automation, optimisation of data delivery and infrastructure scalability.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Python/SQL hosted on a multi-cloud architecture (GCP & AWS).
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Executive, Product, Data, Analytics and Design teams to resolve data‑related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
• Ensure data security, integrity and reliability across all systems and processes.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• You bring experience working in a Data Engineer role, with a strong foundation in data engineering principles.

You have proven experience building and optimising large‑scale data pipelines with Python, using orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow. * You have advanced working knowledge of SQL and hands‑on experience with relational databases.

• You have proven experience building and optimising large‑scale data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• You demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis on complex data and processes.
• You are comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data and extracting meaningful insights from diverse sources.
• You work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and bring strong organisational and project management skills.
